- World War II – With over 30 nations involved, World War II was the bloodiest and largest conflict in human history. The Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939 set in motion a six-year bloodbath that ended in 1945 with the Allies’ victory over the Axis powers of Nazi Germany, Japan, and Italy.
- India Independence movement – Historic events in South Asia came together during the Indian Independence Movement to bring an end to British colonial rule. It was in effect till the Indian Independence Act of 1947 was enacted.
- Jallianwala Bagh massacre – Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, on April 13, 1919, British troops shot at a large gathering of unarmed Indians in the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab, India, killing several hundred and wounding many hundreds.
